Professor Taida graduated from the University of Tokyo. He has been a law professor at the University of Tokyo since 1997, and was a visiting professor at the Law School of the University of Michigan. He is a member of the society of law of Japan; a member of the civil procedure Association of Japan; a member of the arbitration & ADR Association of Japan; and a member of the Law & Computer Association of Japan.
