Hu Ming is a professor and doctoral supervisor of Guanghua Law School, Zhejiang University (ZJU). He once served as vice dean of Guanghua School of Law. And now is vice dean of Social Science Academy of ZJU, and also member of Collaborative Innovation Center of Judicial Civilization. He was selected as a young top-notch talent in Ten Thousand Talent ProgrambyOrganization Department, CCCPC and a young scholar of the Chang Jiang Scholars Program by Ministry of Education. He once wasVisiting Scholar at Yale University, Indiana University, Munich University in Germany and Taiwan University. He is also the executive director of China Criminal Procedure Law Society, and part-time professor of Jilin university and East China University of Political Science and Law. He has been awarded nomination of the 8th“National Ten Outstanding Young Jurists”, the first prize of the 4thChina Outstanding AchievementsAward in Law, the 3rd Dong BiwuAward of Legal Achievements (Youth), the 4th ChinaOutstanding AchievementsAward inCriminal Procedure Law (Youth) etc. More than 100 papers have been published on domestic core journals such asSocial Sciences in China, Chinese Journal of Law, China's Laws and International SSCI journals such as Criminology & Criminal Justiceetc. He has authored ten books, such as Beyond Legal Realism, Democracy in Criminal Justice, How Misjudged Cases Happen, Trial Centerand Criminal Procedure etc.
