Zheng Zhihua, born in Taizhou, Zhejiang in November 1976, is currently the director of the Institute of Maritime Law and the History of the Law of the Sea, and the deputy director of the Silk Road Law Institute. Deputy Secretary-General of Shanghai Law and Sociology Research Association, Director of Maritime Law Research Association, Researcher of Law Sociology Research Center of Shanghai Jiaotong University. He graduated from China University of Political Science and Law with a bachelor's degree in law in July 1998. He graduated from the Law School of Fudan University in July 2001 with a master's degree in law. In May 2004, he was appointed judge of Ningbo Maritime Court. From July 2005 to September 2007, the China Scholarship Council sent visiting scholars from the Department of Law of the University of Göttingen, Germany.
