【内容提要】

The aunouncement that law itself has become morally lawless. That is, the connections between law and moral legitimations have increasingly should be more generally stated and that it is captured in the titile " Law and the Ordering of Our Life Together". What is in crisis and what is at stake in the perennial debate about the moral authority of law is the relationship between community and law; that relationship and the ways in which law contributes to the ordering of social life have constituted a priciple focus of "law and society " research.
