In the Communiqué of the fourth plenary session of the 18th Communist Party of China Central Committee, the general target was set to form a mechanism serving “the socialist rule of law with Chinese characteristics” and building a country under “the socialist rule of law”, which has attracted considerable attention. It is expected that the issues on how to lead China’s journey toward the rule of law will be a hot topic in a long time.
Against this background, the Law and Society Association of Shanghai Law Society and Social Sciences in China Press will jointly organize the conference “the International Conference on Rule of Law in China”, in cooperation with China Legal Science Editorial Office, Hong Kong Law Journal Editorial Office, Asian Pacific Law Review Editorial Office, China Quarterly Editorial Office, Modern China Editorial Office and Asian Journal of Law and Society Editorial Office.
We would like to invite scholars interested in this topic to participate and to submit papers in English to Dr. Matthias Vanhullebusch (matthias.vanhullebusch@gmail.com) or Prof. Yong Wan (wanyong@sjtu.edu.cn) before January 1, 2015. Selected authors will be invited to make keynote speeches and will be recommended to the Journals involved in this conference. The authors’ round-trip fare (economic class) and accommodation will be covered by the organizers.
