The Asian Journal of Law and Society (AJLS) is an all-English academic journal published by the China Institute for Socio-Legal Studies (CISLS) of Shanghai Jiao Tong University and its predecessor, Law and Society Center(LSC), in association with Cambridge University Press for the Koguan School of Law. It currently has over 8,500 subscribers, including over 6,000 institutional subscribers. On Cambridge Publishing's journal platform alone, the journal receives over 60,000 full-text downloads per year, and if third-party platforms such as ProQuest are included, the number of full-text downloads per year may be close to 100,000 per year. According to the most recent authoritative information, the journal has risen to the second quartile of the SCOPUS citation database ranking, and has been included in the ESCI (Emerging Scholars Citation Index) citation database, and is expected to meet the SSCI (Social Sciences Citation Index) database criteria for inclusion in the near future. It is expected to be included in the SSCI (Social Sciences Citation Index) database in the near future.
