1. Visa

(1) Home Return Permit for Residents in Hong Kong and Macao

Residents in Hong Kong and Macao must apply for "Home Return Permit". Residents in Hong Kong should apply it from China Travel Service (Hong Kong) Limited (http://www.ctshk.com/passport/bookrep.htm). Residents in Macao should do it from China Travel Service (Macau) Limited (http://www.cts.com.mo/visa/htm/vs_t1.htm).

(2) Mainland Travel Permit for Residents in Taiwan

Residents in Taiwan have to apply for “MainlandTravelPermit”. You may make the application when you get off your flight at Shanghai Pudong International Airport. More information is available at http://101vision.com/TKT/T-CN/SHA.HTM, or you can call the 24 hour hotline of Shanghai Pudong International Airport (0086-21-6834-6939, 6834-1000, 6268-8916)

(3) Type F Visa

Non-Chinese attendants will need Type F visain order to attend the conference. General information for visa application can be found at the website of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs(http://www.mfa.gov.cn/eng/ljzg/3647/3648).Please also consult your local Chinese Embassy or Consulate for details. We will send you an invitation letter after you have registered the conference.

 

2. International or NationalTravel to Shanghai

Please book your flight as early as possible in order to get the lowest fare. If you want to take train, please go to the official website of China Raiway (www.12306.cn) to check your train information and book your train ticket there.

 

3. Local Travel to the conference venue

(1) From Shanghai Pudong Airport

Taxi: it takes about 50 min. Taxi charge is about RMB¥ 220(daytime) or RMB¥300(night, plus 30% night extra charge if after 11:00 PM);

Public transportation 1: Take Airport Bus Line No.3 to Xujiahui/Tianping Road. It takes about 1 hour and a bus ticket costs RMB¥ 18. From the bus stop to SJTU, it takes about 15min by foot or 3~5 min by taxi. Walking direction: after taking off the Airport Bus Line 3, go along the bus direction for 100m, turn right at the cross, go along Tianping Rd. for 2 blocks (about 500m), when reaching Guangyuan Rd. turn left and go along Guangyuan Rd for 200m, cross Huashan Rd. Turn right about 30m and you will see the main gate of SJTU Xuhui Campus (with two stone lions);

Public transportation 2: Take Maglev Demonstration Line (RMB¥ 50/ RMB¥ 40 with flight ticket) to Longyang Road Metro Station, and then switch to Metro Line 2 to Xujiahui Station. Use Exit No. 12. Go straight ahead along the Huashan road for about 800 meters. You will find the main entrance on your left hand.

(2) From Shanghai Hongqiao Airport

Taxi: It takes about 25 min. Txi charge is RMB¥ 40(daytime), or RMB¥50(night, plus 30% night extra charge if after 11:00 PM;

Public transportation: Take Airport Special Line Route No.806 to Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Bus ticket costs RMB¥ 3.
