On the afternoon of April 17, the 216thMaster Forum of Shanghai Jiao Tong University was successfully held in theWenzhi Hall of Xuhui Campus of Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Professor WangZejian, a leading scholar in civil law and an honorary professor at the Schoolof Law of National Taiwan University, was invited to give an academic lectureentitled "Basis of Claim, Case Study and Legal Education". The MasterDistinguished Lecture was hosted by the Graduate School of Shanghai Jiao TongUniversity, and co-organized by Shanghai Jiao Tong University KouguanSchool of Law, the Chinese Institute for Social-Legeal Studies andthe Center for Japanese Studies. Gu Feng, full-time deputy director of theCouncil of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Zhang Mingqi, vice president of ChinaLaw Society, Ji Weidong, dean of Chinese Institute for Social-Legeal Studies ofShanghai Jiao Tong University and director of the Center for Japanese Studies,Peng Chengcheng, dean of Kouguan School of Law of Shanghai Jiao Tong University,Jin Keke, dean of the Law School of East China University of Political Scienceand Law, Jiang Huiling, dean of the Law School of Tongji University, SongXiaoyan, dean of the Law School of Shanghai University of Finance andEconomics, and vice dean of the Graduate School of Shanghai Jiao TongUniversity. More than 1,500 teachers, students, scholars, and experts fromoutside the university, including Cheng Jinhua, vice president of the Chinese Institutefor Social-Legeal Studies, listened to the report.
