The fourth session of the "Legal Empirical Research Workshop" of the Chinese Academy of Law and Social Studies was successfully held
On the afternoon of December 19, 2023, the fourth session of the Legal Empirical Research Workshop of the Chinese Academy of Law and Social Studies was successfully held in Conference Room 206 of the Chinese Academy of Law and Social Studies at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. This lecture is hosted by the China Institute of Law and Social Studies at Shanghai Jiao Tong University and hosted by the Legal Empirical Research Center. The theme of the speech is "How the Supreme Law provides services and guarantees for the construction of foreign-related rule of law", with Professor Susan Finder (Fan Sishen), a renowned resident scholar at the School of International Law of Peking University, as the keynote speaker, and Professor Hu Jiaxiang from Kaiyuan Law School of Shanghai Jiao Tong University and specially appointed Associate Researcher Wu Shangxuan from East China University of Political Science and Law as the speakers. Lin Xifen, Professor and Vice Dean of Kaiyuan Law School at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and Vice Dean of China Academy of Law and Social Studies, served as the host. Several teachers and students, including Thomas Coendet, Associate Professor at Kaiyuan Law School (Shanghai Oriental Scholar Distinguished Professor), Tan Jun, Assistant Researcher at the China Institute of Law and Social Studies at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and Jing Shiyuan, Postdoctoral Fellow at the China Institute of Law and Social Studies at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, participated in this lecture.
Professor Lin Xifen, the host, first welcomed the arrival of all teachers and students, and introduced Professor Susan Finder (Fan Sishen), the guest speaker of this legal empirical research work visit. She pointed out that she is an expert in comparative research of the Chinese judicial system and has many years of experience in legal practice related to China. Her research focuses on the evolution of the role and operation of the Supreme People's Court, and she looks forward to Professor Susan Finder's wonderful lecture.
