Hu, Ming is a professor of Guanghua Law School of Zhejiang University specialized in Criminal Procedural Law, Criminal Justice, and Law and Society. His major works include On the Criminal Complaint, On the Democratic Criminal Justice, Due Process and the Modernization of Criminal Procedure, Research on National Foundation of Criminal Justice, etc. He was a lawyer from 2004 to 2006. He became the associate professor of Zhejiang University,Guanghua Law School since 2007. He was ever the visiting law professor of Indiana University (Bloomington) Law School, Yale Law School and Taiwan University Law School. He serves as the professor of Zhejiang University Guanghua Law School since 2011. Apart from the professorship, he also serves in many research institutions both nationwide and in Zhejiang province.

He received his BA and his LL.M from Chinese People'Public Security University. He received his PH.D from China University of Political Science and Law.
