Jinhua Cheng is Professor of Law at International School of Financial Law of ECUPL. He is interested in competitive institutions, empirical studies of law, and comparative judicial systems. Before joining in ECUPL, Jinhua Cheng worked for Social Sciences in China as a full-time article editor during 2001-2003. He holds degrees from Yale (LLM, 2007; JSD, 2011), Hong Kong University of Science & Technology (M.Phil. in Social Science, 2005), Peking University (Master of Laws, 2001), and ECUPL (Bachelor of Laws, 1998). He published scholarly writings both in Chinese journals, including Social Sciences in China and Sociological Studies, and in English journals, including Brigham Young University Journal of Public Law. He is also a frequent contributor to Chinese national newspapers, including Legal Daily and Chinese Social Sciences Today. At ECUPL, Jinhua Cheng teaches Competition Law, Empirical Studies of Law, and Law and Movies.
